Updating graphics card drivers
When your PC struggles to run your games, it may be time to update your graphics card. To find out what graphics card driver you currently have:
- Press Windows Key + R
- Type "DxDiag" and hit OK (might take a while to start)
- Click Display tab to view your graphics driver next to Manufacturer.
You can now go to the manufacturer's website to find the latest driver for your card.
Graphics drivers are extremely important when it comes to the performance of almost any laptop or desktop PC.
How do I obtain the MSInfo file?
Please follow the following steps to obtain the MSInfo file:
- Press Windows Key + R
- Type msinfo32 and press Enter
- This will open the System Information window
- Click on File in the top toolbar and select Export
- Save the file as "msinfo.txt" somewhere you can easily find it, such as your desktop
- Wait for the progress bar to finish, this can take a few minutes
- Close the System Information window
How do I obtain the DXDiag report?
Please follow the below steps in order to obtain the DXDiag file:
- Press Windows Key + R
- Type dxdiag and press Enter
- Wait for the progress bar to finish loading
- Press the Save All Information button at the bottom of the screen
- Save the file as 'dxdiag.txt' somewhere you can easily find it, such as your desktop
- Press the Exit button to quit this application
