Is the game optimized for higher refresh rate VR headsets, such as 120Hz?
The game can support up to 120Hz for higher refresh rate headsets.
Do we support AppSW or other reprojection methods for smooth performance?
Metro Awakening uses AppSW.
Can the game be played seated or standing?
Both seated and standing are supported.
What kind of locomotion options are available, and are they customizable?
Players can choose between teleport and smooth locomotion and customize it further by selecting their orientation method (head/had/offhand) and rotation angle (30/45/60/90) and rotation type (snap or smooth). Players can also toggle quick turn on/off.
Is there support for external hardware, such as VR Treadmills or haptic vests (bHaptics)?
There will be no support for external hardware at launch.
Does the game take advantage of platform-specific features on PlayStationVR 2?
Yes, the game uses 4K HDR Rendering, Head Rumble, Adpative Triggers and Advanced Haptic Feedback.
Are there accessibility features for players with disabilities?
There are no explicit accessibility features for players with disability. We support platform-supported features, however.
Does it have left-handed support?
The game allows players to switch their dominant hand via the settings menu.
What's the target framerate for the headsets?
Quest: 72 FPS
PVSR2: 120 FPS
PC: 72-120 FPS (depending on the headset).
Does it use Foveated Rendering?
On Meta Quest 2 + 3 the game uses Foveated Rendering to improve performance and clarity on focus areas.
